PinScreen Animation
Pin screen animation was created by alexandre alexeieff, on august 7, 1972, alexeieff and parker demonstrated the pincsreen to a group of animations at the national film board of canada. the original pinscreens built and used by alexeieff and parker had more than 1 million pins. Today those pinscreens are at the centre national. the pinscreen currently in Montreal has 240,000pins , the pins are usually pressed with a small tool, groups of pins at a time but with the pinscreens being so think you could have endless possibilities of making something and animation it through the use of pins.
Pixilation Animation
pixilation is a stop motion technique where live actors are used as a frame-byframe subject in an animated film by repeatedly posing while one or more frame is taken and changing pose slightly before the next frame or frames. the actor will become a living stop motion puppet, whilst having this living puppet to hand it makes the job at hand more difficult because that person will have to stay still frame-by-frame.
