The hobbit an unexpected journey is the first film of 3 parts the second one to hit our screens in december will be called desolation of smaug , i felt like the film has stuck to the books quite well apart from that certain characters didn't appear in the book i can see why peter jackson has added them in so that it would be more like a hollywood block buster but then i didn't see why he did it the films would be a lot better if they stuck to the boks word for word rather than going off in a tangent.
